
Turkish Teenagers Arrive in Malaysia for Student Exchange Program
SEPANG, 15 Jan 2025 – A delegation of 13 outstanding students from Fetih Sultan Mehmet International Imam Hatip School in Turkey arrived in Malaysia today to participate in the Students Exchange Program 2025 (STEP ’25).
The delegation, accompanied by the school’s Principal, Mr. Kenan Aksoy, and an English teacher, Mr. Ramazan Karaciray, was warmly welcomed by the Head of HALUAN Malaysia’s International Relations Bureau and Chairman of STEP ’25, Mr. Nordin Endut, along with STEP ’25 Secretary, teacher Saadan Omar.
STEP ’25, which will last for 15 days, aims to enhance the English language proficiency of the participants who will also be chaperoned by Malaysian teenagers. It shall provide them with valuable opportunities to understand the unique culture and way of life in Malaysia. Furthermore, the program is designed to help build the students’ self-identity in preparation for becoming quality leaders in the future.
Throughout the program, the students will engage in a variety of exciting activities organised by HALUAN in collaboration with its foster schools. This opportunity will not only enrich their experience but also nurture the exchange of ideas and a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s cultural diversity.
