BANDAR BARU BANGI, 20 August 2013 — HUMANITI is the acronym for Malaysian Humanitarian NGO Assembly which is comprised of Pertubuhan Himpunan Lepasan Institusi Pendidikan Malaysia (HALUAN), Persatuan Ulama Malaysia (PUM), Angkatan Belia Islam Malaysia (ABIM), Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association (MACMA), Persekutuan Seruan Islam Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan (JAM’IYAH), Persatuan Pemborong Dan Peruncit Islam Malaysia (MAWAR), Yayasan Amal Malaysia, Muslim Care Malaysia, Life Line For Gaza Malaysia (LL4G), Persatuan Bekas Mahasiswa Islam Timur Tengah (PBMITT), Yayasan Ihtimam Malaysia and Pertubuhan Amal Perubatan Ibnu Sina Malaysia (PAPISMA).

HUMANITI was established on 18th August 2013 to assemble Malaysian NGOs and to cooperate with other regional and international NGOs to voice out and to channel assistance and support to victims of humanitarian crisis regardless of religion, race and country.

HUMANITI-Care for Egypt was launched to respond to the latest scenario in Egypt in the name of humanity until the democratic rights of the Egyptian civilians is returned to its rightful place.

HUMANITI stands firm in:

Condemning the atrocity and mass murder committed by the Egyptian military regime and its affiliates on civilians which clearly undermined Human Rights
Affirming that the act was a heinous, inhumane and violent crime. HUMANITI urges the Egyptian military regime and its affiliates to stop using force in dissolving the peaceful civilians’ rally.
Supporting the claims of the Egyptian civilians and the international civil community to reinstate the former President who was democratically and legally elected.
Continuing pressure on the Malaysian government to stand firm in upholding principles of humanity, therefore disapproving the military regime which has unlawfully overthrown a government founded on fair elections.
Urging world countries especially the Arab League and international organizations to act on the Egyptian regime and its affiliates for the crimes against humanity committed in Egypt.
HUMANITI as an NGO assembly calls all people from all walks of life, race and religion to stand together for the revival of peace and the end of tyranny in Egypt.

HUMANITI will conduct humanitarian activities to support the victims of the regime’s violence by channeling assistance to orphans, women and those who are in need of medical attention, education and welfare.

HUMANITI calls all Malaysians to play a part in contributing to funds managed by NGOs in HUMANITI.
