For Immediate Release
15 August 2013

BANDAR BARU BANGI, 15 August 2013 — HALUAN condemns the despicable violence and inhumane acts of terror by the Egyptian military forces on the Egyptian civilians yesterday.

The latest statistics of the regime’s massacre record a staggering figure of thousands of dead civilians, while tens of thousands wounded including women and children.

Military action on the peaceful assembly of the Egyptian civilians is a ruthless decision to make. The people’s plight for freedom, justice, peace, democracy and human rights were paid with blood. The civilians surely do not deserve death or even any possible sentence at all.

HALUAN stands firm in condemning the military acts as a violent and inhumane crime. HALUAN urges the killings of the Egyptian civilians to be stopped at once. Democratic practice should be returned to its deserving place.

HALUAN as an NGO therefore calls all people from all walks of life, religion or race to condemn the Egyptian military acts of terror. HALUAN appeals for the people to support the return of the rights of the Egyptian civilians who have chosen their leader through legal democratic means.

HALUAN calls for all Malaysians to offer their prayers to Allah SWT to bring peace to Egypt and to end tyranny.
